romeo take me somewhere

i hate the song Love Story by Taylor Swift.  aside from it being overplayed everywhere, i don’t find depth in the lyrics, and i find the beat too cutely pop.  i am not convincing anyone else to feel the same disgust with the song coz my criterias are radical.

i used to hear it everywhere. “used to” because of the newer and equally annoying ‘you belong with me’ is overtaking the airwaves.  im starting to hate taylor swift and im becoming an old grumpy woman (tiguwang daotan, nga dli karelate sa mga batan-on).  the music choices of the younger generation is sickening.

but im blogging about it not to rant, but to share how much i like the ’song’ now.  the single quotes says that i like the song minus the lyrics.  like is actually an understatement because i love love love how Jon Schmidt arranged it to become classy.  no offense to Taylor Swift, but its better off without her lyrics, to Jon Schmidt’s arrangement at least.

his arrangement was akin to musical backgrounds for movies with girls and princes and happily-ever-afters.  i could imagine a cinderella monogatari live-action movie, where prinsipe lenard gets an entire day helping cinderella with day chores, and a walk in the woods or when prinsipe lenard finally saves cinderella, he hugs an unconscious her thankful she’s totally fine.  then when she wakes up, she’s clueless.  its funny how i related the song to cinderella rather than romeo and juliet. ^_^’

enough of the “or, i could think of the scene…” coz im sure i could go on and on about what i could picture out while listening to Love Story meets Love Story.

。。。

amazing how there are people really gifted with pure and raw talent, and then them using it to inspire and make other people feel good.   i wonder how they do it.  just imagining something beautiful and then creating actual music out of it. 羨ましいなあ。。。

but to Him where these talents come from, no words are enough to describe how great He is.

*i can’t get myself off from replaying the video over and over*

you’ll be the prince and i’ll be the princess,
its a love story baby just say yes

I think it’s also ironic how in Love Story Taylor Swift fantasizes about being Juliet but in another song of hers she says she’s not a princess and it ain’t a fairy tale. Pagsure oi!
